Amplifier Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, and Amplifier Network, a provider of education and collaborative content for entrepreneurs, today announced the addition of Rich Moore as a Venture Advisor. Mr. Moore, a well-respected business marketer and board member, will join Amplifier's other current Venture Advisors Michael Dering, most recently the CEO of ServiceBench, Bob Smith, founder of AOL DigitalCities and Ben Turner, CEO of iBelong Networks. He replaces Ginger Lew, who recently left Amplifier to take a position with the Obama Administration.

Amplifier's Venture Advisors work with Jonathan Aberman, Amplifier's Managing Director, in all aspects of Amplifier's activities. Most recently, Mr. Moore had been assisting Amplifier with its recently launched Amplifier Business Accelerator Program. This program, which has successfully launched, is focused on creating four to 10 new emerging technology businesses before the end of 2009.

Mr. Moore, President of Rich Moore, Inc. (www.richmooreinc.com), has had a career of experience in marketing and international expansion, particularly with emerging technology companies. In addition to his work with the Amplifier Business Accelerator Program, Rich is currently on the Board of Directors of Vocus, a public company offering on demand software for public relations management, Noxilizer, a biotech company and Naturalinsight, a provider of workforce management solutions. He has held executive and company officer positions with VM Software, Systems Center, Roadshow International, Descartes Systems and Cyveillance.

"Adding Rich's experience to our team really adds to our skill set," said Jonathan Aberman, Managing Director of Amplifier Ventures. "Our portfolio companies, as well as our Amplifier Business Accelerator Program companies, are laser focused on finding revenue and driving customer adoption. We wanted to have a team member who could offer practical and direct advice in these areas. Having Rich as part of the team will make us better able to help our companies grow and allow us to make better investment decisions."

"I'm pleased to be joining Jonathan, Michael Dering and the rest of the Amplifier team who all share the same positive values and attitude in fostering company formation and growth," said Moore. "We believe we have created a strong capability not just for investment, but an ability to accelerate growth through proven operational experience and insight."
